Parents

MA's vibrant academic culture asks its community members—from incoming frosh to rising seniors, and parents like you—to engage meaningfully and enrich our community. Your students develop relationships at MA that will last throughout their lives, and you play a vital role in this important experience. Thank you for being a supportive member of our community!

Marin Academy Parents' Association (MAPA)

Every parent or guardian is a member of the Marin Academy Parents' Association. MAPA coordinates many activities that bring our varied parent body together in support of our students, faculty/staff, and the broader MA community.

Find out more about MAPA here!

MA Calendar

The MA calendar allows you to conveniently view all the events you want to see and filter out those you do not. Use buttons below the search bar to display events by day, week, or month or as a grid or list. The calendar default shows all events for a particular week.

If you only want to see a particular type of event (arts, college counseling, a specific team, etc.) you can use the "Filter" button on the right-hand side.

College Counseling Panel for students with Diabetes

    From our own Jamie Kurtzig:

    Close Concerns helped launch
The diaTribe Foundation, a non-profit that acts as an educational
resource for patients with diabetes. (Feel free to visit our official
Close Concerns and diaTribe websites for more information!) I
have the amazing opportunity to help plan a college advice
panel for high school students, like me, in the San Francisco
Bay Area. Many of our team’s Associates are currently attending
college or have recently graduated from college, and they would
be more than happy to share their wisdom to help high school
    students navigate this big transition.
    Last year at this event
(College Day), we had students and alums from colleges such
as Stanford, CSU Monterey Bay, Georgetown, and many more
speak about their experiences, give advice, and provide helpful
    information to the attendees.
The event will consist of a Q&A
about the college application process, academics (as well as
more specific discussions on studying health and medicine),
student life, and extracurricular activities. Anyone who attends
will also have a chance to ask their own questions!

The panel is free of charge at
776 Haight Street, San Francisco, CA 94117
The address is just a few blocks from the Duboce & Noe MUNI
    station.
We’ve been working very hard on organizing this panel,
and we would love to have you join us and promote this event
    to others in your organization!
Even if someone unable to attend
in person, the panel will be broadcast via Facebook Live.
    Please
let me know if you have any questions. T
    hank you so much for
helping me, and I hope that I can see some MA students at
    College Day!

Jamie is an intern with this organization! Please reach out to her
    with any questions
