MA integrates technology throughout the curriculum, and you will utilize technology in many different ways throughout your four years here. It is our goal to graduate media-literate students who have learned to use technology as an appropriate tool for learning.
In order to provide ubiquitous computing for students and faculty, MA maintains a high-speed Internet connection via a fiber-optic "backbone" running throughout campus. MA has adopted a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model, which will allow MA to make digital devices a consistent component of our pedagogy and curriculum.
Equipment that you may use in classes includes Macintosh or Windows computers and peripherals, various tablet computers, slide/negative and photo scanners, black and white laser and photo-quality color printers, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC milling machines, and additional audio and visual digital recording and storage devices. Depending on the subject, you have access to a wide range of professional and educational software from media production to image processing to data manipulation.
