Marshall Cummings '17 Receives US Lacrosse All American Award

Marshall Cummings was the recipient of the 2017 US Lacrosse All American award for this past season. The award recognizes the top players from each region around the country. A senior captain of the Wildcats team, Marshall helped lead the team to the 2017 NCS Division 2 Finals and leaves as the all-time leading scorer in MA history. Marshall will continue his playing career at Middlebury College, a perennial top-10 Division 3 program. The announcement on the Nor Cal Chapter of US Lacrosse can be seen here.
Jerem Stothers, Nor-Cal Chairman for US Lacrosse Secondary School Division shared,”This was one of the most challenging selection processes that this committee has undertaken and we are extremely proud of our 2017 All-Americans. All of our honored athletes are outstanding young men who represent the best of Bay Area lacrosse. Their talents on the field highlights the continued growth of lacrosse in our region. These young men earned the respect of their teammates, opponents and coaches throughout the season. Nine of the All-Americans have signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division 1 lacrosse while the others will play at top programs in Division 3 and MCLA. We wish them well in their college careers.”
This is the 4th year in a row that MA has had a member of the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team recognized as a US Lacrosse All American. Previous honorees were Dexter Eichhorst in 2014 and Tommy Atwater in 2015 and 2016.
Congratulations to Marshall and the entire Wildcats Lacrosse program!
