Aquatics and Community

With the new Aquatics Center built, we can now realize its potential—for competition, wellness, learning, and the larger community.

The new Aquatic Center is a modern facility for training and competition, and it affords opportunities that go far beyond athletics. We see it as a place to promote wellness, water safety, and community-building that exists nowhere else on campus.

Forward Progress
Thanks to unrestricted gifts early in the campaign, we were able to break ground in July of 2021 and complete the Aquatic Center in June 2022. This project completes the final major phase of Vision 2030, Marin Academy's Campus Plan.

MA AQUATICS

The new Aquatic Center replaces the previous pool, a 90-year-old relic which has been home to Marin Academy’s swim and water polo teams since the school’s founding.

As a member of both the water polo and swim teams, I am beyond excited about our new aquatic center. Not only will this allow us to have home games for water polo, but it will also allow both the swim and polo teams to practice more effectively as our old pool was pretty limiting in size and depth. I am super psyched to be able to experience the new aquatic center in my last year at MA and look forward to making good use of it.

It’s so exciting that not only do we finally have a regulation-size water polo setup, but we also have a phenomenal facility to host swim meets and water polo matches.

THE NEW AQUATICS CENTER WILL EXPAND MA'S EXCELLENT ATHLETIC TEAMS AND EXTEND OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN THE VALUES OF FITNESS  AND WELLNESS FOR MORE STUDENTS AND FAMILIES. IT ALSO ALLOWS MA TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY IN NEW WAYS. WE ARE THRILLED TO CHEER ON THE INCREDIBLE MA WATER POLO AND SWIM TEAMS IN THE NEW POOL AND TO CELEBRATE ITS USE BY THE GROUPS OUTSIDE OF MA.  NO OTHER  AQUATICS CENTER IN THE AREA CAN OFFER ALL OF THIS!
