Marin Academy's athletic mission is to develop scholar-athletes in body, mind, and spirit who commit to their teams, act with integrity, and compete with sportsmanship, character, and pride.

Seasonal Athletic Information

Marin Academy Athletic Start Dates 2019-2020

Tryouts for each program will coincide with the start of each season.  Student planning on participating in a fall sport should be available to be in attendance on the first day of season.  As always, athletes may not begin the next season until they complete their current season.  There may be optional open field/open gym practices before a season begins.  Athletes should contact the head coach of the program to check on these activities.

Fall Season: August 12, 2019
Winter Season: November 4, 2019
Spring Season: February 10, 2020

MA Water Polo Camp

Week 1: July 30 through August 2
Week 2: August 5 through August 9
10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the MA Pool

The MA water polo camp is led by Zvi Gvishi, Marin Academy Boys Water Polo Head Coach and is designed to prepare students for the upcoming fall high school water polo season. The camp is open to boys and girls in seventh grade and up. Click here for more information and to sign up.

  • Coach Martinez Goes Skydiving in Preparation for Gen Gap Invitational!

    Our Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis Head Coach, Geoff Martinez, has had an eventful summer!!  Coach Martinez recently went skydiving in Hawaii as part of his "Bucket List!!"  And it appears there's no stopping coach Martinez, as he will also be participating in the USTA 8th Annual Gen Gap Invitational!  If you're interested in watching coach play in the tournament, click here for more details, or contact him directly at: gmtennis123@hotmail.com.  Way to go coach!!

    Parker Hanley, Kathleen Winnick and Carly Lavine know what it’s like to be on a first-year varsity girls lacrosse team.

    Caleb Barville and Chase King battled from the start to end, finishing as possibly the youngest competitors to take first and second in Cycle to the Sun history.

    Colorado College's Cassis Schafer was named the 2019 SCAC Women's Lacrosse Elite 19 award winner.  Schafer, a junior from Richmond, Calif., currently holds a 3.665 GPA and was an All-SCAC first team selection on this year's all-conference women's lacrosse team as a defender.
