Alumni Tuition Assistance Endowment

The number one giving priority we have heard from alumni is to pass on the MA experience to future generations.

The Alumni Tuition Assistance Endowment Fund at Marin Academy enables alumni to directly support tuition assistance, ensuring that future students have access to the MA experience. Contributions to this fund are invested, generating perpetual income that aids in making the school more accessible for generations to come.

A $100M Endowment would yield ~ $4.5M each year, funding MA's current level of tuition assistance in perpetuity. Growing beyond that will enable us to not only support more students, but also offer more supports to them.

How MA Will Realize the Vision

To date, the new Endowment has seed funding of about $100K. As the Endowment grows, so does the amount of interest it generates that we can use each year. For example, with the $100K we have raised to date, the Endowment will generate ~$4,500 each year, covering about half of college counseling costs for students on tuition assistance. As the Endowment grows, so does its impact!

$500K: Covers 80% provided laptops
$1M: Covers all books and supplies for eligible students
$10M: Covers all non-tuition expenses
$100M: Fully funds the current tuition assistance budget

I went to MA on a whim, and Tuition Assistance made it possible. MA taught me critical thinking skills and all the skills I need in my career today. I hope you’ll join me in supporting the school.
