Placement Testing and Welcome Day

Monday, April 20, 6:00 p.m.: Placement Testing Webinar

Saturday, April 25, MA Campus: New Student/Family Welcome Day & Placement Testing

  • Students with extended time taking a world language test: Arrive at 8:15 a.m.
  • Students taking a world language test without extended time: Arrive by 8:45 a.m. 
  • Students taking a math test only: Arrive at 10:00 a.m. 
  • Following Placement Testing, students will participate in Welcome Day activities, focusing on getting to know their new classmates and community, learning about their arts and language course options, and ranking their choices
  • Students should wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
  • We hope all incoming students can join us—many current students made their first MA friend at Welcome Day!

Welcome Day: Parents/Guardians 

Parents and Guardians will also build community and learn the ins and outs of being an MA parent.

  • 8:15-10:00 a.m.: Please join us for mingling on the Redwood Deck if you are on campus while your student is testing.
  • 10:15 a.m.-2:00 p.m.: Parent/guardian programming, including lunch. 
  • 1:45-2:10 p.m.: Optional Belonging@MA info session. 

Summer Offerings

What are you doing this summer? Want to increase your confidence and fluency with mathematical concepts and get a head start on the reading, writing, and thinking skills you will need in your ninth-grade English class? Want to meet other incoming students and get familiar with the Marin Academy campus?  How about participating in strength and conditioning training sessions?
