Sophomore and Junior Families, if your young scholar is interested in science and experimentation and wants to perform novel research in collaboration with professional members of the scientific community, our Marin Academy Research Collaborative (MARC) program may be the program for them! We offer two different MARC tracks, Applied Genetics Research, a yearlong structured research course open to sophomore and junior applicants (for participation as a junior or senior), as well as our signature student-driven research track, Independent STEM Research, a 2-year course open only to sophomore applicants (for participation as a junior and senior). The program is application-based, and applications for the 2025-2026 academic year will be due on April 1. Applications will be posted soon on the MARC webpage.
For more information, please explore this MARC Program Overview, or contact Science Department Chair, Ellie Beyers.
We hope you and your young scholar can join our information sessions.
