On May 12, our community will celebrate our sixth annual MA Giving Day.
This year, we are dedicating Giving Day to honoring the students, their educational endeavors, and their co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
YOU - alumni, parents, faculty, staff, grandparents, and students – are encouraged to make your gift on May 12th and share your favorite MA memory on social media, email, and when you make your gift. Help us spread the word on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and beyond!

Wondering why it’s important for you to participate? Here are just a few ways that your gift makes a difference:
1. Every gift counts. Contributions of all sizes fund a life-changing education for every MA student.
2. MA’s community is at the core of what makes it a special place. It is YOUR support that provides increased opportunities for MA’s students—and gives MA teachers, staff, and coaches the tools and flexibility they need to provide an innovative and extraordinary experiential education.

What is Giving Day?
MA’s Giving Day is 24 hours devoted to raising support for MA each year. On May 12, 2022, we hope to inspire at least 350 people from our community of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends to make philanthropic gifts to MA’s Annual Fund, which touches the lives of every MA student every year. We’ll share fun videos and other great content by email and social media. And, we invite you to share your MA stories via social media. (You can email us, too!)
Where does my gift go?
Gifts made on Giving Day will benefit all of the people and programs that make MA so special via the annual fund, including our students, faculty, tuition assistance, academics, outings, athletics, and the arts. You may choose to direct your gift to a specific program touched by the annual fund. All gifts, regardless of the amount, will make an immediate difference to the entire MA community.
How can I make sure that my gift is counted towards Giving Day?
All gifts made on May 12, 2022 will count toward Giving Day. You can make your gift online or over the phone by calling (415) 482-3246. If you would like to mail in a check before May 12 to be counted toward Giving Day, it must be received no later than May 12, and you must write “Giving Day” in the memo section. Mail checks to Marin Academy, c/o Advancement Office, 1600 Mission Ave, San Rafael, CA 94901. To make a gift of securities or via a donor advised fund to be counted toward Giving Day, please email Ashley Daon.
If you have already supported MA this year, THANK YOU! We encourage you to consider an additional nominal gift on Giving Day, as only contributions made on this day count toward our goal of 350 gifts.

How can I help make MA’s Giving Day a success?
Make your gift, and spread the word! Tell your fellow classmates, parents, family, and MA friends that you’ve made a contribution and encourage them to join you in supporting MA. Share your enthusiasm on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #OneDayOneMA. Send an email or pick up the phone. Anything you do to help spread the word will make a big difference in helping us reach our goal of 350 gifts – and, in turn, will magnify the impact of your gift.
