Welcome

Marin Academy's academic program is both comprehensive in the breadth of its college preparatory offerings and challenging in its opportunities for depth in individual subject areas. We see the high school years as a time when students are discovering who they are, what they value, what they enjoy, and where they are headed. Thus, while the classroom is focussed on intellectual growth, the educational experience as a whole also considers these larger questions. Our unique block schedule (classes meet every other day for eighty minute blocks) allows time for students to think, to really delve into discussions and engage in experiential education. This work is facilitated by teachers who believe in MA's mission, to help students "accept the responsibilities posed by education in a democratic society," by encouraging students to think critically, creatively, and for oneself.
